Fall 2021 Election Information

10/04/2021 12:09 PM

Due to impacts from Hurricane Ida, the parishwide primary election originally scheduled for October 9, 2021 was rescheduled for November 13, 2021. If you are in the mail ballot program, the election date on your ballot will still be October 9, 2021 because the ballots were not reprinted. Mail ballots with the October 9, 2021 date will be counted on November 13, 2021.

Mail ballots can be returned to the Registrar of Voters (ROV) office as soon as you vote. Ballots must be received by 4:30 pm the day before the election. If you vote at a precinct that was relocated due to damage from Hurricane Ida, you will receive a letter informing you of the new location. This information will also be posted at geauxvote.com and in local newspapers.

Early voting hours are 8:30 am to 6 pm at the ROV office. The office is closed on Sundays. Election day hours are 7 am to 8 pm
