About the Terrebonne Alert System

Terrebonne Alert is a mass notification system operated by the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government through its Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness to provide timely information regarding emergencies that may require you to evacuate or shelter in place at your home or business. Terrebonne Alert is also able to notify you of non-emergency events such as weather advisories, boil water advisories, school closures, community events, and recreation department notifications. You opt-in to enter your contact information and subscribe to the notifications that interest you. Everyone will receive all emergency notifications. The information you provide is protected and will not be used for any other purpose.

How It Works

Emergency notifications will be issued when there are imminent threats to life, health, and safety for residents of Terrebonne Parish. The notifications may be issued for the entire parish, or they may be issued to only those who reside or work in the area of the emergency condition. When we issue a notification about a potential emergency, you will receive a message by text message, email, or phone call via the voice or text communication devices that you have registered with Terrebonne Alert. If requested for the notification, you can confirm that you have received the message and you will not be contacted by any subsequent methods regarding that particular notification. If you do not confirm, the system will continue to attempt to reach you at all contact paths that you have registered.
